2 Timothy 2:21 "...prepared unto every good work"

FIT: the word we use to describe a general sense of physical well being.
We see athletes who we describe as fit. We marvel at their ability to run, jump, throw, swing. Their physical prowess gives them attention and accolades that many of us only dream of. What’s unseen is the level of commitment and preparation that the same athlete has in order to be fit. Every waking moment is dedicated to their craft because they need to be fit if they will succeed.

In the spiritual life, we as Christians need to have a greater commitment and preparation so we can be fit to succeed for the Lord. Our salvation has given us entrance into the race to be run for the Lord and yet our readiness is what is required to ensure we have the winners crown. Our every waking moment needs to be dedicated to the mission that God has for each of us. It is going to take us being fit for the work.

FIT should be how we describe ourselves spiritually.
FIT is what God wants for those whom He has entrusted to finish the course, having done all, having won.
At the end when we are fit, there’s the great distinction of getting the “well done” from our Lord and crowns that we can cast recognising Jesus, the true champion.

WE CAN ONLY GET THERE IF WE ARE FIT.
