How Can I Help?
The Bookstore has many skills that are needed for a lot of different projects

There's a variety of things we need help with and maybe you have the skills for it:

  1. Assist in setting up the website and putting all stock online.
  2. Organising and distributing online orders on-site or via mail/delivery
  3. Keeping track of inventory
  4. Assisting with social media
  5. Each Sunday
    • Set out books, and guest table by 8:45 am each Sunday, and pack books following the post morning service shift.
    • Manning the physical Book Store location
    • Balancing the money box with square (our Point of Sale System)
I'm MINI, Can I be involved?
Young or young at heart, you can join us!

For the Southland MINI-stry, kids are encouraged to sign up too (with mum or dad's permission)

  • MINI-stry requirements:
    • Arrange to stay a little later on Sunday afternoons after the morning service on the months they are rostered on
    • Let us know if they can’t make one of their rostered dates
    • Assist the Store Staff in neatly and carefully packing away the books and other merchandise
    • Assist the Store Staff in returning the Book Store Shelves to the appropriate place
    • If a volunteer also happens to arrive early, the Store Staff would be thrilled with help for Book Store set up also
Making the commitment
How often am I needed?
  • Availability for a month-long roster (Number of months per year will be based on volunteer numbers)
  • Availability for the management of online store and purchases

    • In the instance that another commitment is unforeseen and unavoidable volunteers should take the responsibility of organising their own replacement.
    • We are willing to account for other ministry obligations in regards to rostering as a measure to ensure volunteers are as committed as possible to their rostered shifts so it is imperative that volunteers communicate with us their prior commitments as soon as possible.
