What is Higher Ground?

Higher Ground is a ministry of Southland Baptist Church aimed to serve and help single young adults/professionals.

Our vision is to primarily encourage, help and strengthen our Young Adults grow in their love and walk with Christ & develop faithful men and women who will lead & support the work of the Lord in the Ministry.

Psalm 145:4 KJV [4] One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

Hebrews 10:23-24 KJV [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) [24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Our Aim

To help Young Adults with their walk with Christ
To encourage the while nurturing a supportive and cohesive approach within the church
To help them find their position in their fellowship with Christ again

Our Vision is to see young adults:

Walk closer with their Saviour
Develop soul winning skills
Build relationships across age groups and generations within the church
Pass on the love and passion for Christ to those who are younger
