Too often those things that are most important are most often the most neglected. In a world full of competing priorities, we mustn’t sacrifice the important on the altar of the urgent. In the next couple of weeks, we will be focusing on a major part of our lives. So major, that when God created man it was this He had in mind to complete man. So major, that God picture His relationship with His church this way and all of His people as this. This of course is the family and all the relationships within our households.
The hindering of truth has caused a dysfunctional society that has is contingent upon a functional family. The problem is we’re looking at lies and not truth. In contrast, there is the truth of what a God has to say about the family. In the next couple of weeks, we will look at Scripture to see what God expects of every member of the family. Today, we will look at what the family should be like according to God. In doing so, I hope to diminish the view of the what the world terms as the picture-perfect family. Instead we want to lift up what God describes for us as a “Word Perfect” family.
