Luke 7:1-10

Some of the most memorable stories of Jesus’ life almost always involves Him doing something miraculous for those in need. In this chapter, the driving characteristic that is examined by Luke is Jesus’ mercy. We see Him interacting with people across the wide cross-section of society and with all, He shows mercy. The first one is a Centurion. What we find in this first interaction is that mercy is available to those who are in the greatest of positions, who have worth in the sight of others, but have underlying values that Jesus commends.
