Luke 14:25-33

There’s a big difference between a believer and a disciple. The cross-bearing life produces disciples: that’s what makes all the difference. Whilst it’s true that you cannot be a disciple without first becoming a believer, a believer must make a conscious choice to go further with the Lord to be a disciple. It’s a high calling to be called a disciple!

Jesus makes the point that if we are going to be cross-bearers, success will only come through persistence even when we’ve considered all the costs.
