2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
The above verse tells us that we ought to feel indebted to the Lord Jesus because it’s through Him that we triumph.
As we focus on the call to bear our cross this month, we must place that command in the context of our own Saviour’s willingness to take up His cross. Through His sacrifice on the cross, Jesus paved the way for each of us to be saved, have a home in heaven and have victory over sin and death.
His willingness to lay down His life and shed His blood means that we have freedom and joy available to us. His humiliation gave us a way to have peace with God and in our souls. I invite you to consider Him and realise that you are greatly indebted to Him.
I pray that this month will help us to appreciate the victory we have in Christ and then choose to live in this way to help others come to know Him as Saviour.
